Ubasti (Jelle Baert),

​

named after the Egyptian god of music, dance, and celebration, is a 23-year-old DJ/Producer from Nijlen, Belgium. His musical journey began at a young age when he was invited to play sets in the cafeteria of the campsite where his parents had a holiday home.

Later, he earned the opportunity to perform three times at the Limerick reunion (now JH Nootuitgang in Edegem).

Jelle completed multiple DJ courses and masterclasses, and also took up vinyl spinning, which adds an authentic and unique touch to his sets.

During lockdown, Ubasti remained highly active: he played live on Moeve Radio, TOPradio, and Versuz Radio, and entered various DJ contests, winning several of them. This period laid a solid foundation for his signature style, technical skills, and versatility as a DJ.

He has also played back-to-back (b2b) sets with Marlin (BE) & GEE (BE).

 

House DJ

Ubasti plays house music filled with groove, flow, and danceable energy. His house releases have received support from Double Pleasure, Marlin (BE) & GEE (BE). Thanks to his custom productions, edits, and vinyl skills, every set gets a personal touch. Whether it is clubs, summer bars, or intimate house nights, Ubasti knows exactly how to get the crowd moving.

 

All-Round DJ

As an all-round DJ, Ubasti effortlessly mixes genres, building sets packed with energetic peaks and surprises.

Always recognizable, always with that original Ubasti touch, and featuring his own mashups & edits.

From smaller clubs to private events: he connects the audience with music and lets everyone lose themselves completely in the flow of the set.

 

Festival DJ

At festivals, Ubasti spins with an energy you can feel from the very first track. His debut release Utopia was released on Atomic Panda, the sub-label of Nexchapter (Justin Prime), and received support from Niviro, Justin Prime, Austin Kramer, KEVU, and VINAI. This was followed by collaborations with Ramba Zamba and releases on Dragon X Records. His festival sets deliver pure adrenaline and familiar vibes, guaranteed to raise the roof.

 

DJ Academy & Novar Events

Ubasti shares his knowledge through his DJ Academy, where he coaches aspiring DJs, shares tips & tricks, and teaches them how to mix, blend, and perform. In addition, he is the driving force behind his house concept Novar Events, which fully brings his vision of house music and clubbing to life and will soon be expanded further.
